Production Manager

Job Description:
Chemstar Group is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily operations at our Lagos manufacturing plant. This role involves managing a team of production operators, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and optimizing production processes for efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities and coordinate with various departments.
• Ensure the manufacturing process adheres to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Monitor and control production costs, while striving to meet company production goals.
• Manage a team of production workers, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions.
• Maintain production records and prepare reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
